A Workshop for New Parents
It’s true: a baby changes everything!
Dr. Sharon Thomason of The MomSource, LLC and her husband, Dr. Andrew Magin, of Psychological Health Associates, will help you transition together as you move from a couple to a family.
In this workshop, Drs. Thomason and Magin will help you connect your core values to the practical considerations of parenting: balancing family, individual and career demands, and developing connections and traditions.
You will learn and practice solid communication skills and explore what you hope and expect from your partner. Couples will learn to nourish your relationship as you move into the new roles of Mom and Dad.

A Pampering Babymoon Weekend for First-Time Parents
Having a baby is a truly transformative event. In this weekend get-away workshop
we will help you nourish and protect your relationship as you explore your dreams
of life together as parents.
Drs. Sharon Thomason and Andrew Magin will discuss balancing individual, family,
and career demands, practice loving communication, and explore the roles of “Mom” and “Dad” for your new family.
It truly does take a village to raise a child. This workshop will seek to identify
the family and friends who are each couple’s “support net” and talk about how to
communicate with those who can provide much assistance and support during this
magical and sometimes stressful transformation.
In addition, an experienced doula will lead a hands-on workshop teaching practical
comfort measures for the birth of your baby. Certified birth doula and massage
therapist Sarah Thayer will help partners develop confidence in applying a variety of techniques to relieve the discomfort of childbirth, including relaxation, positioning, and movement.
The Bonus option for professional pregnancy and newborn photographer Christina Houser will be available for those interested having images of the very beginnings of your family.
